Credit Bureau
TransUnion Credit Bureau (formally ITC)
TransUnion Credit Bureau is one of the largest credit bureaus in South Africa and is globally represented in Africa, the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe.
It was established in 1901 in Cape Town by US credit bureau RG Dun & Company which merged with Bradstreet Organisation of New York to become Dun & Bradstreet. After Dun & Bradstreet disinvested in South Africa in 1986, a management buyout took place and it was renamed to Information Trust Corporation (ITC).
In 2002 ITC changed their name to TransUnion ITC and incorporated HPI, a national motor vehicle database. In 2004, together with TransUnion Receivables Management, TransUnion Decision Support Services, TransUnion HPI and TransUnion Mead & McGrouther, TransUnion ITC becomes a part of TransUnion South Africa.
TransUnion's "best-in-class" vision and high values that focus on integrity, makes TransUnion a global leader in credit and information management.
TransUnion Business and Consumer credit reports, Consumer trace and ID verification reports are part of the standard Datanamix web service and available to any business that grants credit to other businesses or consumers.
